Is Resident Evil 1 getting a remake?

Resident Evil 1 is available on PS4 and XBOX One. The original Resident Evil game will be re-released on PC, PS3 and Xbox One. The game's 2002 GameCube title "REMake" will be the basis for the new port. There was a fire on Aug 5.
