How are transistors made so small?



The limit of Silicon's atomic size is 0.2 nanometers. It's not possible to make transistors even smaller because they are currently 70 Silicon atoms wide. We could make transistors even faster by using light instead of electricity. The new year begins on Jan 5, 2017:
