How bad is metal gear?

The long battle between the series' lead creator, Hideo Kojima, and his long-time employer, who dumped him three years ago, is what Metal Gear Survive is about. The attempt to make a new one without him is Survive. I thought it was a bad game, but it's more interesting than I thought.
