There is a difference between Devil May Cry 4 and Special Edition.

The original game features Nero and Dante as playable characters, while the Special Edition features Vergil, Lady and Trish as bonus characters, each with a new opening and ending movie. The Order of the Sword was explained in the Special Edition.
